Products
| Standard Size | 1m × 100m. Custom lengths can be supplied upon request. |
|---|---|
| Recommended Density | Light grade (80–100g/m²): For internal use, designed to meet anti-cracking requirements for indoor applications. Medium grade (120–140g/m²): General-purpose specification for building external walls. Reinforced grade (160g/m²): High-strength enhanced specification. |
| Application Method | 1. Prepare and level the base substrate. Apply base coat mortar evenly onto the wall surface. 2. Embed the glass fibre mesh into the fresh mortar while it is still wet. Ensure the mesh lies flat without wrinkles or folds. 3. Overlap mesh edges appropriately. Fully cover the mesh with a further layer of base coat mortar to completely bury the fabric. 4. Allow proper curing before subsequent finishing work. |
Haochen alkali-resistant fibreglass mesh is a core specialist anti-crack reinforcement material for building render and thermal insulation systems. It is widely applied to external and internal wall insulation works, acting as a standard auxiliary material for installation of mainstream insulation boards including XPS, EPS and stone wool boards, compatible with most building insulation render assemblies.
Manufactured from premium high-toughness fibreglass rovings, the mesh blank is woven by precision weaving processes to form a regular uniform grid. It is fully impregnated with polymer alkali-resistant emulsion and thermally cured to final form. The finished product delivers high tensile strength, excellent alkali corrosion resistance, anti-ageing performance and outstanding flexibility with low risk of breakage. It is an indispensable key auxiliary material for modern render reinforcement, wall renovation and insulation anti-crack projects.
The product features mature manufacturing technology and consistent performance. It has regular mesh apertures, a smooth and firm fabric surface and moderate stiffness, offering excellent on-site workability. It resists fraying when cut, lies flat without bulging during installation and bonds securely to polymer anti-crack render with minimal slippage. Embedded fully within the render layer of various insulated board systems, the mesh evenly dissipates drying shrinkage stress and absorbs thermal deformation plus external impact loads. It fundamentally eliminates common construction defects such as cracking, hollowing, peeling, delamination and water seepage in insulation and render layers. It effectively improves structural stability and integrity of the full insulation system and greatly extends the service life of building facade finishes.
Conventional fibreglass mesh has poor alkali resistance. When exposed to the strongly alkaline environment of cement mortar over time, it tends to corrode and embrittle, leading to tensile strength loss, cracking damage, functional failure and detachment. This alkali-resistant fibreglass mesh adopts a thick high-density alkali-resistant coating process, retaining a high proportion of tensile strength after alkali exposure and delivering superior resistance to cementitious alkalis for long-term stable performance. It also boasts excellent weathering, UV and anti-erosion properties, withstanding prolonged outdoor solar exposure, rain and snow attack and seasonal temperature fluctuations. It maintains reliable long-term protection for both internal and external wall insulation applications.
Our alkali-resistant fibreglass mesh is available in a comprehensive range of areal weights: 80gsm, 90gsm, 100gsm, 110gsm, 120gsm, 130gsm, 140gsm, 160gsm and 180gsm. With moderate stiffness, it is simple to lay and improves construction efficiency. It suits a wide spectrum of construction projects including high-rise residential blocks, commercial buildings, industrial plants, light-gauge steel villas, refurbishment of ageing residential estates, internal partition rendering, joint reinforcement between old and new walls, roof insulation crack prevention, screeding and GRC component reinforcement.
This mesh can be used as part of a complete insulation package alongside XPS boards, EPS boards, stone wool boards and insulation fixings, forming a standardised integrated wall insulation and anti-crack protection system. Thanks to its broad compatibility, reliable stability, cost-effectiveness and universal constructability, it is the preferred reinforcement material for internal and external building insulation projects. We maintain ample stock for immediate delivery and offer bulk supply plus custom non-standard sizes to fully meet insulation requirements on new-build, retrofit and renovation civil engineering contracts.
