What is rock wool board?
Rock wool board is a rigid insulation material made from molten basalt rock, spun into fine inorganic fibres and pressed into boards. It is non-combustible, widely used for building thermal insulation, fire protection and sound absorption.

What are the standard density and thickness of rock wool board?
The standard density ranges from 60 to 180 kg/m³. Standard thicknesses are integer sizes: 30mm, 40mm, 50mm, 60mm, 70mm, 80mm, 90mm, 100mm, 110mm, 120mm, 130mm, 140mm, 150mm, 160mm, 170mm, 180mm, 190mm, 200mm. Custom special-shaped parts are available on request.

Is rock wool board fire resistant? What is its fire class?
Yes. Rock wool is A1 class non-combustible material, no flame spread, no toxic smoke when exposed to fire. It meets EU building fire safety requirements.

What is the thermal conductivity of your rock wool board?
Thermal conductivity ≤0.040 W/(m·K), excellent heat insulation performance for both cold and hot environments.

Can rock wool board resist water and moisture?
Rock wool itself is water repellent. We can supply water-repellent grade rock wool board with low water absorption. It does not rot or mould under humid conditions. It is NOT waterproof for long-term direct immersion.
