Rock wool board is a board-shaped insulation product manufactured from natural rocks such as basalt and diabase. The raw materials are melted at over 1400℃ and spun into inorganic mineral fibres by high-speed centrifugation. Special binder is added before curing and pressing. It is a Class A non-combustible inorganic insulation material and a widely adopted fire-resistant and energy-saving material for external wall, curtain wall, roof and industrial insulation projects.
With an internal 3D interlaced porous fibre structure, rock wool board delivers reliable thermal insulation and sound absorption performance. It is high-temperature resistant and ageing-resistant. It will not burn or emit toxic smoke under open flame and can effectively slow flame spread. According to project requirements, we offer external thin-coat rock wool boards, high-density rock wool boards for curtain walls, water-repellent rock wool boards and other types. Custom thickness and density are available.
Rock wool board has a wide range of applications. It is used for external thermal insulation on civil buildings, roof insulation, curtain wall fire stopping, fire cladding for steel structures, partition walls of workshops and sound absorption for machine rooms. Combined with alkali-resistant glass fibre mesh cloth and thermal insulation anchors, it forms a complete external wall insulation system. Based on project demands, rock wool can be further processed into rock wool blankets, vertical-fibre rock wool strips, rock wool pipe sections and rock wool composite panels for pipe insulation, fire breaks and integrated insulation systems.
