As a Class A non-combustible inorganic insulation material, rock wool board is widely used in external wall, roof, curtain wall and steel structure fireproof & thermal insulation projects. A wide range of specifications are available on the market. Length, width, thickness and density can all be customised according to construction drawings. Langfang Haochen Insulation Materials Co., Ltd has compiled mainstream standard sizes and parameters of rock wool boards to facilitate material selection for engineering projects.
I. Standard Length and Width of Rock Wool Board
Standard stock size: 1200mm×600mm (most common for external wall insulation, matching building modules and reducing joint gaps)
Alternative regular size: 1000mm×600mm; custom cutting for special dimensions is supported.
II. Regular Thickness Range
Stock thickness: 30mm, 40mm, 50mm, 60mm, 70mm, 80mm, 90mm, 100mm, 120mm, 150mm, 180mm, 200mm;
Custom production available for thickness from 30mm to 200mm.
III. Common Density Specifications
80kg/m³, 100kg/m³, 120kg/m³, 140kg/m³, 160kg/m³, 180kg/m³, 200kg/m³
External thin-coat wall system: 140kg/m³ water-repellent vertical-fibre rock wool board is preferred.
Roof and steel structure insulation: high-density rock wool board of 150–180kg/m³ is recommended.
Machine room sound absorption and ordinary partition walls: 100–120kg/m³ rock wool board is optional.
IV. Product Types & Matching Selection Guide
1. Horizontal-fibre rock wool board: mainly used for roof, equipment insulation and indoor sound absorption;
2. Vertical-fibre water-repellent rock wool board: specially designed for external wall thermal insulation, featuring high tensile strength and complying with national standard JGJ/T480;
3. Apart from finished rock wool boards, our company also manufactures rock wool blankets, rock wool strips, rock wool pipe sections and rock wool composite panels. Combined with mesh cloth and insulation anchors, they form a complete external wall insulation system.
V. Customisation Information
Haochen Insulation supports non-standard size cutting, water repellent treatment and single-sided aluminium foil facing. All products are manufactured in line with national standards. Clients may provide drawing parameters, and we will match board thickness and density as required, providing one-stop supply service. Suitable for new real estate projects, old residential renovation, factory buildings, curtain walls and other fire & thermal insulation projects.
