Our Thin-coat Render Rock Wool Board for External Wall is Class‑A non-combustible inorganic thermal insulation material, specially developed for external wall thin-coat render ETICS systems. Produced from premium natural basalt and diabase volcanic rock, it undergoes strict manufacturing procedures: melting above 1450°C, high-speed centrifugal fibre spinning, curing shaping and integral hydrophobic treatment.
Characterised by fine, uniform fibres and stable internal structure, this rock wool board is fully compatible with the full thin-coat render construction sequence. It achieves reliable bonding with adhesive mortar, render mortar, alkali-resistant fibreglass mesh and exterior coatings. Widely adopted for thermal insulation on new-build facades, energy-saving retrofits of existing buildings and external wall fire stop belts. It serves as high-performance core insulation material combining fire safety, thermal energy conservation and long-term weather durability.
Core Advantages
Class‑A Non-combustible, Reliable Fire Performance Fabricated from pure inorganic mineral fibre, the board holds Class‑A non-combustible classification. It will not ignite, propagate flame or produce molten drips under open fire. Superior resistance to high-temperature shrinkage preserves structural integrity during prolonged heat exposure, effectively stopping vertical and horizontal flame spread and lowering building fire hazards. It delivers dependable facade fire protection and satisfies stringent fire requirements for high-rise residential, public and industrial buildings.
Excellent Thermal Insulation & Acoustic Absorption, Outstanding Energy Saving Its 3D porous fibre structure creates effective thermal resistance with thermal conductivity ≤ 0.040 W/(m·K). It restricts heat transfer between interior and exterior, reduces heating and cooling loads and helps projects meet energy-saving compliance requirements. The porous fibre matrix absorbs airborne sound waves to attenuate external noise and improve indoor comfort.
High Mechanical Strength, Customised for External Thin-coat Render Systems Formulation and production are optimised specifically for thin-coat render facade works. The rock wool board features high compressive strength and surface-perpendicular tensile strength, alongside strong flexural and deformation resistance. It mitigates common failures found in conventional insulation boards such as hollowing, cracking and delamination. High flatness and tight dimensional tolerances enable secure bonding to substrates and render mortar, forming a robust integrated insulation assembly. Suited perfectly for thin-layer rendering to deliver smooth, aesthetic exterior finishes.
Hydrophobic, Moisture & Weather Resistant, Matched Service Life with Building Structure Integral hydrophobic treatment during manufacture forms uniform water repellency throughout the board core and surface. Mass water absorption ≤ 1.0 %, offering strong defence against rain ingress and damp corrosion. It prevents insulation decay, mould growth and powdering triggered by moisture uptake. Excellent dimensional stability: no thermal expansion or cold contraction. It withstands hot-cold cycling and UV ageing, maintaining stable performance without deformation under long-term outdoor exposure, so the external insulation system lasts alongside the main building structure.
Eco-friendly, Non-hazardous & Fast Site Installation Made from natural eco raw materials, free from formaldehyde, benzene and other volatile harmful compounds. Non-toxic, odourless and low-dust, compliant with green building material standards. Lightweight and easily cut, available in custom sizes to accommodate irregular facade layouts. Fully compatible with standard thin-coat render construction steps: bonding, mechanical anchoring and rendering. Established installation methods accelerate site works, shorten project durations and cut labour expenditure.
