Haochen Pre-slit Tongue-and-Groove Water-repellent Stone Wool Pipe Sections are deep-processed insulation profiles independently developed by Haochen R&D team to resolve pain points in industrial pipe insulation. Custom multi-segment split structures are available on request, adopting tongue-and-groove joint design for firm interlock upon assembly. Non-standard sizes can be manufactured to order.

The product is made of premium basalt ore. Ultra-fine inorganic fibres are produced through high-temperature melting and centrifugal spinning, then formed integrally with dedicated stone wool binder and water-repellent agent, followed by multiple precision secondary machining procedures. The production process is intricate with high technical requirements, demanding tight tolerances for slitting cutting and tongue-and-groove alignment. It is a water-repellent pipe insulation profile.

Longitudinal slits are pre-fabricated at the factory. Sections may be prised open and fitted directly around external pipe surfaces, enabling fast site installation without further cutting. The stone wool material achieves Euroclass A1 non-combustible classification, delivering outstanding high-temperature resistance for long-term service under high-temperature pipe operating conditions, combining thermal insulation, noise reduction and fire resistance.

Optional FacingsA wide range of industrial facings can be bonded as required, including FSK series, FP series, FB series, new reinforced mesh aluminium foil, aluminium foil fibreglass cloth, W38 series and VR series. These facings reflect thermal radiation, form reliable vapour barriers and improve tear resistance and ageing resistance. Selection can be tailored according to project operating conditions.

Suitable for both internal and external pipework. A protective outer cladding is mandatory for external installations. Widely applied to steam pipelines, heating mains, HVAC pipework, chemical plant and power station industrial pipe insulation projects with excellent installation adaptability. Compared with conventional single-slit stone wool pipe sections, this multi-segment slitted design conforms more easily to pipe bends. The tongue-and-groove interlocking joint minimises assembly gaps, enhances sealing performance and delivers stable and long-lasting thermal insulation.

1. Core Product Features

  1. A1 Non-combustible, Stable High-temperature Performance Pre-slit tongue-and-groove water-repellent stone wool pipe sections are Euroclass A1 non-combustible inorganic insulation material. It will not burn, release toxic fumes or produce molten droplets under high temperatures, providing excellent fire resistance suited for high-risk high-temperature applications such as steam pipelines and boiler pipework.

  2. Pre-slit + Tongue-and-Groove Joint, Superior Sealing & Efficient Installation Factory precision pre-slitting combined with multi-segment split construction. Pipe section ends adopt tongue-and-groove interlocking design for automatic alignment and secure locking during assembly, eliminating loose joints and large gaps. Sections can be opened and fitted around pipes on site with no secondary cutting or grinding required, greatly shortening construction periods, reducing labour costs and eliminating heat and air leakage common with conventional joints.

  3. High Density for Thermal Insulation & Noise Attenuation Dense and coherent fibre structure effectively traps static air to reduce heat loss from pipework, whilst absorbing vibration noise generated by operating equipment. It delivers integrated energy saving, thermal insulation and noise reduction.

  4. Integrated Water-repellent Treatment, Resists Moisture Formed with incorporated water-repellent agent throughout production. The material repels water and resists dampness, resisting ingress of ambient moisture and condensation. Long-term insulation performance is maintained without degradation, suitable for humid workshops and outdoor pipe networks and other complex environments.

  5. Multiple Industrial Facing Options Custom facings including FSK, FP, FB, new reinforced mesh aluminium foil, aluminium foil fibreglass cloth, W38 and VR series are available. Each facing variant provides benefits including thermal reflection, robust vapour resistance, tear strength, ageing and corrosion resistance, allowing precise selection for temperature, humidity, external exposure and chemical corrosion operating environments.

2. Applications

Widely used for thermal insulation, fire protection and noise reduction works on heating steam pipelines, district heating mains, HVAC pipework, chemical process pipework, power station equipment pipelines and high-temperature industrial pipe networks for both civil and industrial projects.

3. Specifications

Custom internal diameters for non-standard requirements. Standard thicknesses: 50mm, 75mm, 80mm, 100mm, 120mm, 150mm. Minimum density 120kg/m³; higher densities available to specification. Custom multi-segment split structures and all types of facings can be supplied to satisfy high-end industrial project requirements.
