Haochen Lightweight Mortar Paper Vertical Filament Rock Wool Composite Panel is a new type of integrated building insulation board, manufactured with vertically orientated basalt rock wool as the core, prefabricated lightweight mortar paper facings laminated on both sides. Produced on continuous automated production lines, the material retains the outstanding thermal and fire performance of vertical fibre rock wool. The mortar paper facings resolve common site challenges associated with bare rock wool slabs, including fibre shedding, moisture absorption and cumbersome on-site rendering procedures. It is the preferred energy-saving material for wall and roof thermal insulation & fire protection projects.
1. Product Structure
The core consists of basalt rock wool with vertically aligned fibres. The load direction of fibres matches the stress direction of external walls, delivering superior pull-off resistance. Lightweight mortar paper is bonded to both faces of the panel, providing a smooth, high-strength surface suitable for direct use as a rendering substrate. The three layers are tightly integrated, resisting delamination and shell separation, with exceptional structural stability.
2. Key Features & Performance
Excellent Thermal InsulationThe fine fibres of vertical filament rock wool combined with the porous structure of mortar paper effectively restrict heat transfer. Low thermal conductivity provides long-term suppression of heat exchange and improves overall building energy efficiency.
A1 Fire Classification, Reliable SafetyThe rock wool core is an A1 non-combustible inorganic material. It will not ignite under high-temperature exposure and releases no toxic fumes, efficiently restraining flame spread. It satisfies stringent fire compliance requirements for high-rise and public buildings to safeguard building safety.
Lightweight with High Strength and Stable StructureLightweight mortar paper facings reduce the overall dead weight of the panel. Meanwhile, the vertical fibre structure delivers good compressive and tensile properties. It reduces structural loading on buildings while maintaining panel strength and lowering risks of delamination and hollowing of the insulation layer.
Ageing Resistance & Weather Stability, Long Service LifeFabricated from weather-resistant raw materials, the panel withstands cyclic temperature variation, rain, snow and frost over extended periods. It features strong anti-ageing characteristics with minimal performance degradation under long-term outdoor exposure.
Eco-friendly & Energy SavingRaw materials are recyclable. The low-carbon manufacturing process releases no harmful volatile substances, suitable for green buildings, passive houses and other energy-efficient construction projects.
Fast & Simple InstallationThe factory prefabricated mortar paper surface forms a flat rendering base. Finishing works can be carried out directly after delivery to site. It eliminates multiple on-site processes such as mesh fixing and base coat rendering, reduces rock wool fibre dust, lowers labour difficulty and shortens project durations.
Sound Absorption & Noise ReductionThe micro-pore structure within vertical rock wool fibres offers effective sound absorption to attenuate noise and optimise the indoor acoustic environment.
Vapour Permeable to Prevent CondensationThe material’s micro-porous structure allows moisture vapour and air to pass through. Internal wall moisture can dissipate outwards, regulating wall humidity and preventing interstitial condensation.
High Substrate CompatibilityThe mortar paper facing bonds well with adhesive mortar, anti-crack render and other construction materials. It exhibits good compatibility and fits a wide range of wall substrates.
3. Main Application Areas
Internal and external wall insulation for residential and commercial buildings to boost energy efficiency; Roof insulation for industrial workshops, commercial buildings and passive houses, delivering thermal protection and fire safety; Fire partition walls for high-rise buildings, factories and public facilities to upgrade fire safety standards; Acoustic walls for offices, schools and auditoriums to reduce indoor noise levels.
